H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB (operating as H&M) is a Swedish retail-clothing company, known for its fast-fashion clothing offerings for women, men, teenagers and children. Today H&M operates in 40 countries and has 87,000 employees all working to the same philosophy: to bring you fashion and quality at the best price.

• One of twenty-two pioneer staff for the H & M Store at Park Royal North, Vancouver, which opened on 21 October 2010. Assisted in the preparation of the whole store, from stocks, fixtures, auditing, visual display and grand opening celebration.
• Experienced in handling excellent customer service and challenging store situations at the sales floor, fitting rooms, and cash tills. Promoted as cash responsible in as little as one month.
• Team player that supports and assists in the training of new colleagues.
• Assists with the production of window displays including handling of mannequins, promotional banners, props, wallpapers, and lighting.

Formerly known as Isabelle Miaja & Associates (IMA) Pte Ltd., MDG is an international design firm which was founded by Isabelle Miaja and Robert Arambulo over 20 years ago in Los Angeles, California. After moving its head office to Singapore in 1994, MDG has rapidly grown into a 40-member h4 design team and has expanded with offices in both Dubai and Manila.

Senior Multimedia Designer

CrescendoMedia is a media production company providing multimedia services to the constantly growing MICE industry. Its clientele includes private companies and government agencies of Singapore, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, etc.

• Created, conceptualized and designed the multimedia semi-circular banner and plasma panels for the Mubadala booth at the 2008 Singapore Air Show.
• Co-conceptualized, designed, and created three of four multimedia games for the Singapore Health Promotion Board museum.
• Created a two-hour multimedia backdrop show for the ASEAN Gala Dinner at Raffles Swissotel (November 2007). The whole multimedia is composed of 6 segments and around 18 songs that supported the Singapore Symphony Orchestra and different performing artists of Singapore.
• Co-created, conceptualized and designed the multimedia for the Singapore Tourism Board kiosk used in the 2007-2008 worldwide road show promoting the F1 race event.

Global Publishing Solutions

Manila, Philippines (July 2004 – August 2007)

Formerly known as the Regional Printing Center (RPC), Global Publishing Solutions is the official printing, publishing, and media solutions for the U.S. Department of State and other U.S. government agencies worldwide. GPS is ISO 9001:2000 Certified for Process Quality Assurance & Management Standards by SGS.

• Redesigned & restructured the static Regional Printing Center website into a dynamic one with an online shopping cart integrated into the online catalog. This project challenged my ability to produce modern yet conservative government style design for the website.
• Created an online ordering system which has the capability of allowing customers to customize, view, approve proof, and order for business cards, invitations, and certificates used exclusively by the Department of State. This system also provides a ready-to-print PDF copy for press upon checkout of order by the customer. Distribution options and price estimates are also incorporated. This process reduced 90% of manual work, & 80% deficiency in errors involving data encoding. Adobe InDesign software, Acrobat Professional, PHP, MySQL, AppleScript, & Filemaker 5 were used to create this system.
• Study the latest design software tools, and gadgets for work implementation. This includes Section 508 accessibility web compliance, FAM, and W3C standards.
• Major print design projects include: a) collaterals like book rule, stickers, notepads, etc. distributed by US Ambassador Kristie Kenney to all her charity visits across the whole nation; b) Six American Independence Day 2007 invitation card designs available to all Department of State agencies worldwide; c) GPS logo and corporate identity; and d) in-house marketing materials.
• Chosen as one of the few members of the Internal Quality Audit Team who conducts quarterly audits within the different departments and helps improve systematic approaches to provide quality products. Last June 2006, the committee received the Meritorious Group Honor Award by the US Department of State for contributing in the compliance of RPC to the ISO 9001:2000 international standards. RPC is the first production agency in the US Department of State and US Embassy Manila to achieve an ISO quality standards certification.
• Reports directly to American Officers in Washington regarding project management and other production matters involving the website.

INQ7 Interactive Inc.

Makati, Philippines (January 2001 – July 2004)

Multimedia Specialist

As the country’s most visited and most awarded news website, INQ7.net is the virtual home of Filipinos across the Philippines and throughout the world. INQ7 Interactive Inc. is a joint venture of two media giants, the Philippine Daily Inquirer (PDI) – the country’s biggest and most-respected newspaper, and GMA Network, Inc (GMA) – the country’s most-awarded broadcast media company.

• Worked with the pioneer web team to redesign, restructure, and develop the inquirer mini-website into the First Interactive News Website in the Philippines (www.inq7.net) within a span of one month from hiring date to the scheduled date of launch. Her Excellency President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo herself launched the site on February 28, 2001.
• The balance we created between the editorial and business content of the website in the aesthetic and web-usability point of view, led us to nominations as the People’s Choice Awards for Best Website News & Zines Category for three straight years at the Philippine Web Awards.
• After two years of web maintenance, designing special websites & advertorials, and creating in-house marketing materials and collaterals, I became the OIC for the Multimedia Team (Sales & Marketing). My additional tasks involved brainstorming and coordinating directly with account managers, clients, and marketing managers regarding projects, materials, and time management, and prepare the Annual Budget, Inventory, & Planning for the Multimedia Team.
• Directly supervise four creative staff and a seasonal group of interns comprising of 2-12 students in handling different projects.
• Assist account managers in closing deals from either foreign or local clients by presenting design proposals, solutions, and technical consultations personally, raising company profit to break even by the end of 2003.
• Conducted a mock-up spoof elections via an electronic voting station set up during the 18th Philippine Ad Congress held in Baguio City, which made our booth one of the most visited.

Amalgamated Specialties Corporation (AMSPEC) is a manufacturer, importer, and distributor of internationally known brand names of school and office supplies such as Mongol Pencils, Crayola Crayons and Li’l Hands Products. Some of their other brands include Amspec Bond Paper, Touch and Go, Gold Medal, Lotus Ball pens, Sanford Markers, and Magic Touch. For more than 50 years in existence, AMSPEC is one of the top corporations in the Philippines today. Tommie Creative Inc. and Reynolds Philippines are affiliates of AMSPEC.

• Created and conceptualized the Li’l Hands Color and Learning Book Growing Up Beginner’s Series comprising of over 10 titles registered for printing & distribution by AMSPEC. Some titles are “Faces & Movements”, “Stop, Look & Laugh”, “Growing, Traveling”, “Aquarium Life”, and “ABC of Human Anatomy”.
• Illustrated, written copy, and created storyline for five Li’l Hands Color and Learning Books, consisting of 20 coloring and activity pages, all published and still available in Philippine bookstores and department stores nationwide. Book titles are “Fairy Land”, “Friendly Neighborhood”, “Familiar Shapes”, “Funny Opposites”, and “Amusing Numbers”.
• Designed and illustrated all five book covers in full color. Supervised the preparation of its printing and approved color separations for press.
• Created and illustrated the Li’l Hands official mascots, Lilly and Handy, which completed the branding and representation for its product line.
• Designed and layout posters, banners, and flyers of different sizes for Li’l Hands Club activities.
• Prepared modules and conducted art demonstrations in two Li’l Hands Club Summer Art Workshops for kids ages 4 – 11.
• Create window displays for the store outlet every 3 months.
• Designed and layout the product package for Li’l Hands Oil Pastels.

• Scan, trace, and layout approximately 25 print ads of small and medium enterprises as advertisements in the yellow pages daily.
• Create new layout proposals for old advertisers, improving its overall look and graphical elements using Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Corel Draw.
• Support the sales & marketing team in increasing the number of advertisers for the yellow pages by creating visually appealing layouts and effective copy as their proposals.
